1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Talkquote, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the platform.
2. Services Provided
Talkquote provides field service management software, including AI-assisted voice quoting, invoicing, receipt and tax invoice capture, expense reconciliation against bank statements you upload yourself (CSV or PDF), and client payment facilitation. Talkquote does not connect to your bank and does not receive a live bank feed — statement data is only ever imported by you.
3. AI Accuracy & Business Responsibility
- AI Assistance Disclaimer: Talkquote utilizes artificial intelligence (Google Gemini models) to assist in reading tax invoices, parsing receipts and bank statements, transcribing voice notes, and drafting estimates.
- Contractor Responsibility: You acknowledge that AI output is an automated assistance tool. The contractor retains ultimate legal responsibility for verifying quote line items, tax calculations (GST), and final BAS lodgment accuracy before issuing documents to clients or the ATO.
- Not tax advice — prepared for your accountant: Talkquote is a record-keeping and preparation tool. BAS, GST and tax figures produced by Talkquote are estimates generated from the data you enter and import, and are intended to be exported and reviewed by your registered tax or BAS agent before lodgment. Talkquote is not a registered tax agent or BAS agent, does not provide tax, accounting or financial advice, does not lodge on your behalf, and does not guarantee that any figure is lodgment-ready or complete.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
- Billing: Talkquote subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Stripe.
- Client Payment Processing: Payments collected from your clients via Stripe are subject to Stripe Connect terms and applicable processing fees.
5. ATO Tax Record-Keeping Compliance
Talkquote stores uploaded tax invoices and receipts for the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) required 5-year retention period. However, subscribers are responsible for maintaining backup copies of their business records.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Talkquote shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from lost job data, delayed quotes, or accounting errors.
7. Termination & Data Export
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your historical quotes, client logs, and receipt PDFs before data account purge.
